THE ALPS VALENTINE’S WEEK-END 14TH to 16TH FEBRUARY 2025
George Stagno Navarra reports:
THE ALPS VALENTINE weekend event held between 14TH to 16TH FEBRUARY 2025 at RGS, has come and is now gone into the history book of ‘The Association of Lyceum Past Students’ It was a great occasion to see a sizeable number of ALPS members and friends, come together and celebrate this annual occasion. It is exactly at such events, when memories are built, to remember, how nice it is to see the great enthusiasm still existing amongst Lyceum past students. And, adding to this eventful occasion, one notes the participation of wives, family members and also friends, who come to celebrate with us this happy occasion. The gathering with special dinner marking this event, has been addressed with a short speech by the Immediate Past President of ALPS, namely George Stagno Navarra. He encouraged all those present to look ahead with greater love and enthusiasm in keeping our association afloat. The association also made arrangements for Holy Sunday Mass to be celebrated inside the hotel. The ALPS spiritual director Fr. William Bartolo was the celebrant and delivered a significant sermon, encouraging a more humane approach to other persons who we meet in our daily life.
We now look forward to our next planned event that is the summer barbeque. Tentatively we are hoping to organise such event on the open terraces of the Radisson Golden Sands, towards the last week of July 2025. ( more details to follow) You are encouraged to take note and pencil your diaries because we hope to see you in a large number.
