THE ALPS ANNUAL RETREAT AT MANRESA HOUSE GOZO ( 23RD TO 25TH MAY 2025 )
With much pleasure, we would like to report, about the ALPS annual retreat at MANRESA Gozo. Because of many valid circumstances, the attendance this year was not as numerous as we have known it to be in previous years. Nevertheless, a sizeable number, have come
and participated at the retreat. The association this time, financed the air travel expenses and the chosen preacher Fr. Dominic Sultana, made a special journey from Ireland to Malta. The result was astounding.
We have all learned more about the journey in our Christian life. May be, for the coming year (which tentatively has been marked for 15th to 17th May 2026 ) we can have a larger number of participants and, if we can receive some advance feedback, we will again notify the same preacher. Our Secretary General Mark Darmanin who carried out a fantastic job with coordinating receipt of bookings and payments, as well as issuing repeat announcements towards this years’ retreat event, is to be thanked for all the work done. A word of thanks goes also to Alex Borg who continues to liaise with the Manresa House administration to arrange for overnight accommodation, with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
