Mass will be<br \/>\n                    said by ALPS Spiritual Director Fr William Bartolo OFM Conv.<\/p>\n<p>It is very easy for anyone to pray for their dead relatives<br \/>\n                    and friends, but doing it all together gives our prayers a<br \/>\n                    special feel and meaning.<\/p>\n<p>\n                    <strong>OCTOBER\u2019S SOCIO-CULTURAL EVENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>the ALPS socio-cultural event for October &#8211; the visits to<br \/>\n                    Mdina Glass, Aviation Museum and Bristow Potteries on the<br \/>\n                    22nd instant &#8211; went off very well. <\/p>\n<p>All participants really enjoyed themselves, not least with<br \/>\n                    the slap-up Maltese-style luncheon at Bristow Potteries\u2019<br \/>\n                    Ta\u2019 Franci Cafeteria. This sort of success always encourages<br \/>\n                    the Council of Administration in its planning for more events.<\/p>\n<p>\n                    <strong>YULETIDE DINNER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the calendar being what it is, it always happens that<br \/>\n                    mention of the Requiem Mass in ALPS News is almost immediately<br \/>\n                    followed by an announcement of the ALPS Yuletide Dinner, which<br \/>\n                    is held in the first half of December in order to allow space<br \/>\n                    for members\u2019 later personal events.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Yuletide Dinner, at 8 for 8.30 p.m. on<br \/>\n                    <strong>Friday 2nd December<\/strong>, will be a veritable<br \/>\n                    piece de resistance. ALPS President George Stagno Navarra<br \/>\n                    has managed to wangle the Grand Ballroom of the brand-new<br \/>\n                    <strong>Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort &amp; Spa<\/strong><br \/>\n                    in its very first Christmas season in operation, with a fantastic<br \/>\n                    menu at an unbelievable price (see overleaf).
