This amount was added
to the funds raised by the Lyceum Bicycle Marathon in aid
of Id-Dar tal-Providenza. This year’s event kept most
of our council members – and, I must gratefully add,
their respective wives – very busy helping out during
all three days for this very noble cause.

The generous support of so many Members and Friends of ALPS
with the sale of Marathon lottery tickets continued to reap
more funds, and the bottom-line figure contributed by ALPS
for this year’s Marathon reached the total sum of Lm1,700.
It was indeed with great pleasure that I presented, on behalf
of all ALPS members, the full cheque that was received with
great applause from all present at the closing ceremony on
the Sunday night.

From here on we can all look forward to other important forthcoming
events that are more than adequately covered in this issue
of ALPS News.
